Lincotek, headquartered in Rubbiano, Parma, Italy, is a global contract manufacturer for services in markets including Industrial Gas Turbines, Aerospace and Medical Device applications, as well as a leading manufacturer of industrial coating equipment and one of the most respected producers in the Additive Manufacturing field. The Group has more than 1,800 employees located in 18 production facilities across Europe, North America and Asia.

For our headquarter in Rubbiano (PR) we are looking for a goal-oriented, analytical, methodical, fast learning, proactive Process Engineer.

ABOUT THE JOB

The process engineer develops the specific process based on customer requirements and assists other departments to assure that the production processes are performing properly, with respect to safety, quality, and output; assists in data collection and analysis, staff training, review and editing of documentation related to assigned projects.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Study part feasibility, define suitable technologies and calculate expected process times for cost calculation and quotation
  • Machine or robot programming, process parameters set up and tuning, validation testing carry out according to NPI plan
  • New technologies and equipment start up and validation
  • Machine trouble shooting and RCA support
  • Analyze processes data, equipment, materials to determine efficient manufacturing methods and process improvements according to 6s method and standard RCA tools
  • Monitor processes on a continual basis for continuing improvements and/or modifications
  • Coordinate activities of support personnel and manufacturing to resolve process problems
  • Assist in training operators on process awareness, monitoring and control
  • Provide process data as recommended for standard or experimental products
  • Research equipment to source the most appropriate solutions by focusing on cost, flexibility and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to bring new part concepts from ideation to production
  • After 6 to 12 months the candidate will be required to provide Gemba technical support with extra time and weekend availability

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics (or any related field)
  • 1/2-year experience in Process or Manufacturing Engineering (preferred but not mandatory)

SKILLS

  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong math skills and robot/machine programming
  • Experience with Solidworks/CAD CAM/ABB Rapid/Minitab/PowerBi/Excel preferred
  • Experience with SPC, 6s and Lean manufacturing tools
  • Ability to analyze drawings, manuals, material specification and processes to design or improve a manufacturing method
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing documents
  • Excellent communication skills with different team and managers, including verbal and written documentation
  • Ability to implement compliance strategies at the plant level including data collection and traceability, compliance demonstrations and process changes necessary to assure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Ability to identify, scope, propose and implement capital improvement projects as assigned
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to present information and recommendations to customer and foster relationships with vendors

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computes, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

PHYSICAL DEMAND

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15/20 kg. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8 am to 5:30 pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.

TRAVEL

Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
