Compliance Officer

For one of our clients, a dynamic oil trading company based in Milan, we are seeking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in compliance within the physical commodity trading sector, with strong exposure to oil trading operations.

Your Mission

• Develop, implement, and maintain internal compliance policies and procedures
• Ensure alignment with applicable regulatory frameworks and internal governance standards
• Monitor and manage all regulatory compliance matters, including AML, sanctions, and KYC obligations
• Identify and assess areas of compliance risk or vulnerability, and proactively recommend improvements
• Liaise closely with key internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies
• Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management

Your Profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Compliance Officer in a physical commodity trading environment, ideally with direct exposure to oil trading
• Solid understanding of compliance regulations and international standards (AML, KYC, sanctions)
• A degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken); Italian is a strong plus
• Strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach
• High ethical standards and ability to communicate clearly and effectively across teams
