Job Purpose

MSC Cruises, the world's third-largest cruise brand and leader in Europe, South America, the Gulf region, and Southern Africa, is seeking a highly skilled IT Principal Architect to join our innovative team in Naples. This role involves leading enterprise-wide IT architecture strategies, ensuring compliance with standards, evaluating emerging technologies, and collaborating with domain architects. Your expertise will support our digital transformation and align IT initiatives with business goals.

Key Accountabilities

1. Lead Enterprise IT Architecture Strategies: Develop and implement IT architecture strategies supporting MSC Cruises' business objectives.
2. Ensure Compliance with Standards: Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices across all IT domains.
3. Evaluate Emerging Technologies: Assess new technologies for potential impact and value.
4. Collaborate with Domain Architects: Work with domain-specific architects for cohesive IT solutions.
5. Provide Architectural Oversight: Guide major IT projects to ensure alignment and integrity.
6. Facilitate Stakeholder Communication: Act as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
7. Develop Architecture Documentation: Maintain up-to-date architectural blueprints, roadmaps, and standards.

Requirements

1. Experience: 7-10+ years in IT architecture with leadership in enterprise initiatives.
2. Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), cloud, microservices, integration patterns.
3. Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of IT governance and regulatory standards.
4. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent English verbal and written communication; additional languages are a plus.
6. Education: Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related; master's preferred.
7. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate and influence across teams.
8. Proactive Approach: Self-motivated, results-driven, capable of managing multiple priorities.
