Job summary

Athena Consultancy Services in India seeks an experienced Zscaler & Network Security Engineer with hands-on expertise in ZIA, ZPA and enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet or Check Point).

The role covers L2/L3 support, policy configuration, security monitoring and incident resolution, coordinating with Network, SOC, IAM, Cloud and application teams to ensure secure connectivity across users, branches and data centers.

Qualifications

• Experience with Zscaler ZIA and Zscaler ZPA.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Check Point).
• Experience in L2/L3 support, troubleshooting, policy configuration, security monitoring and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Zscaler and enterprise firewalls.
• Configure ZIA and ZPA policies.
• Troubleshoot internet access, proxy, authentication and traffic-routing issues.
• Manage URL Filtering, Cloud Firewall, SSL Inspection, DNS Security and DLP policies in Zscaler.
• Configure ZPA application segments, connectors, access policies and authentication.
• Manage and troubleshoot Palo Alto / Fortinet / Check Point firewalls.
• Configure security policies, NAT, VPN, routing, objects and access rules.
• Troubleshoot IPsec/SSL VPN, site-to-site VPN and remote-access connectivity.
• Analyze firewall and Zscaler logs to identify security and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot traffic flows between users, branches, data centers, cloud and internet.
• Support integration of Zscaler with Active Directory, SSO, MFA and identity providers.
• Perform firewall rule reviews, policy cleanup and security-policy optimization.
• Monitor security events and respond to incidents within agreed SLAs.
• Perform configuration changes, upgrades, health checks and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Network, SOC, IAM, Cloud and application teams.
• Participate in incident, problem and change-management activities.
• Prepare RCA and technical documentation for major incidents.
