Job summary

Priority IDC Private Limited in Chandigarh, India is seeking a Team Lead to guide a backend team and deliver enterprise-grade services. You will drive architecture, code quality, and collaboration across stakeholders while mentoring engineers through design reviews and performance management.

The role requires deep Java/Spring expertise, microservices, cloud familiarity, and a strong focus on scalable, secure, and well-tested applications. On-site presence in Chandigarh is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (Java 8+) with modern features (Streams, Lambdas, Generics, Concurrency).
• Core Java concepts: Multithreading, Synchronization, Reflection, Exception Handling, Memory Management, Tuning.
• Enterprise development with Spring Boot/Framework/MVC/Security/Data JPA/Hibernate and RESTful APIs.
• Microservices architecture, API Gateway, service discovery, asynchronous messaging, event-driven patterns.

The Team Lead is responsible for leading, mentoring, and managing a team to ensure the successful delivery of tasks, projects, and organizational objectives within defined timelines and quality standards. This role involves providing strategic direction, fostering collaboration, driving team performance, and ensuring operational efficiency across day-to-day activities.

The Team Lead will oversee task planning, resource coordination, and performance management while providing continuous guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to team members. Additionally, the role requires proactive problem-solving, stakeholder communication, process improvement, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements

Strong hands‑on experience in Java (Java 8 and above), with deep understanding of modern Java features including Streams, Lambda Expressions, Functional Interfaces, Optional, Generics, Collections, Concurrency APIs, and JVM internals.

Strong expertise in Core Java concepts including Multithreading, Synchronization, Reflection, Exception Handling, Serialization, Memory Management, and Performance Tuning.

Extensive experience in enterprise application development using Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful API development.

Good understanding of Microservices Architecture, distributed systems, API Gateway, service discovery, asynchronous messaging, and event‑driven architectures.

Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or DynamoDB, including database design, optimization, and query tuning.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build and deployment tools such as Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SonarQube, and version control systems like Git.

Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including Object‑Oriented Design (OOD), SOLID principles, Design Patterns, Test‑Driven Development (TDD), Clean Code, and secure coding practices.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments with strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.

Ability to perform architecture reviews, code reviews, technical design discussions, and provide technical leadership to development teams.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with good knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, scalability, and performance optimization techniques.

Experience mentoring and leading teams of engineers, driving technical excellence, improving development processes, and ensuring high‑quality deliverables.
