Job summary

Thyrocare Technologies Limited is seeking a senior Biomedical Equipment Manager to oversee diagnostic lab equipment across the North Zone. You will manage operations across multiple locations, ensuring high uptime and effective maintenance programs.

You will coordinate with OEMs and vendors for breakdowns, installations, and preventive maintenance, maintain asset records, and drive CAPA for recurring issues.

Qualifications

• Experience in biomedical laboratory equipment management.
• Experience coordinating with OEMs and service vendors.
• Strong understanding of CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage biomedical and diagnostic laboratory equipment across the North Zone.
• Oversee biomedical operations across multiple states, branches, and collection/testing centers.
• Ensure 95%+ equipment uptime through preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Develop and monitor annual PM, calibration, AMC and CMC schedules.
• Coordinate with OEMs and service vendors for breakdowns, installations, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.
• Ensure timely resolution of critical equipment breakdowns to minimize impact on operations and TAT.
• Maintain centralized asset records including equipment age, warranty, AMC/CMC, service history and utilization.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring failures requiring CAPA.
• Evaluate technical requirements for new equipment and support procurement teams in technical evaluation.
• Review vendor performance against SLAs and take corrective action as needed.
• Manage biomedical CAPEX and OPEX for the North Zone.
• Identify obsolete or high-maintenance equipment and recommend replacement.
• Oversee installation, qualification, validation and handover of new lab equipment.
• Conduct periodic biomedical audits and close observations.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, lab safety and biomedical equipment requirements.
• Train biomedical engineers and technicians on operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Finance, IT and Facility teams.
• Prepare monthly Zonal Biomedical MIS covering uptime, PM compliance, breakdowns, calibration, expenditure and vendor performance.
• Travel regularly across North Zone for audits, breakdowns, installations and reviews.

• Conduct periodic biomedical audits across laboratories and ensure closure of observations.


• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare, laboratory safety and biomedical equipment requirements.


• Train and guide biomedical engineers/technicians and laboratory personnel on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.


• Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Finance, IT and Facility teams.


• Prepare monthly Zonal Biomedical MIS covering uptime, PM compliance, breakdowns, calibration, expenditure and vendor performance.


• Travel regularly across North Zone locations for audits, critical breakdowns, installations and operational reviews.
