Responsibilities

• Maintain preventive maintenance plans and execute breakdown maintenance of hospital medical equipment.
• Create and follow calibration schedules and ensure timely completion.
• Prepare and manage budget for biomedical department activities.
• Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions for department processes.
• Document all biomedical procedures per NABH standards.
• Evaluate safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of equipment and propose improvements.
• Train clinicians and staff on proper equipment use.
• Coordinate with technicians and manufacturers for product feasibility and support.
• Keep up-to-date with biomedical technology advancements.
• Maintain inventory of equipment in software systems and perform regular checks.
• Analyze frequent breakdowns and propose corrective actions.
• Provide technical comparisons for purchases of new or replacement equipment.

Bio-Medical Engineer New Delhi | Full Time | Non-Clinical

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preventive and breakdown maintenance of medical equipment of the hospital and its associate installation. Ensuring the adherence to the preventive maintenance plan drawn and effective completion of breakdown maintenance.
• Calibration schedule and its completion.
• Budget preparation.
• Setting up systems and work instructions for all activities of the department ensuring the adherence of standards in the biomedical department as defined.
• Documentation of all the Bio-medical procedure/process as per NABH standard.
• Evaluate the legal, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment.
• Train clinicians end-user and other personnel on the proper use of equipment, either through vendor or in-house.
• Liaising with technicians and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility of a product in terms of design and economic viability.
• Continue learning of BME technological advancements.
• Inventory of the Medical equipment and Instrument, to be maintained in software.
• Inventory of the Medical equipment and Instrument, to be maintained in software master and checked on regular basis.
• Analysis of frequent breakdowns of medical equipment and proposed solutions.
• Technical comparative for purchase of any new/replaced medical equipments.

Essential qualification

• Bachelor s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Desirable

• Sound knowledge of installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of medical equipment.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and biomedical equipment management software.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Experience

3-5 years of relevant experience in biomedical equipment management and maintenance, preferably in a NABH-accredited hospital or healthcare facility.
