Job summary

S&J Group in Chennai is seeking an experienced Zoho Developer to build, integrate and improve our internal platforms. You will own Zoho CRM customizations, Deluge scripting and cross-application automations to streamline operations across divisions.

You will connect Zoho with external services via REST APIs and webhooks, ensure data integrity and provide clear documentation for ongoing maintenance.

We use Zoho extensively to manage our operations, finance, sales and people processes. We are looking for an experienced Zoho Developer to build, integrate and improve our internal business platforms. This is an in-house role, working exclusively on S&J Group’s systems. You will work closely with our teams to understand their needs, identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions that make everyday work faster, more reliable and easier to manage. We want someone who takes ownership, questions inefficient processes and contributes ideas alongside technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customise Zoho CRM, including modules, fields, layouts, Blueprints, workflows, validation rules and access permissions.
• Develop, test and maintain Deluge scripts, custom functions and business process automations.
• Build and maintain integrations across Zoho applications, including CRM, Books, People, Payroll, Projects and Analytics.
• Connect Zoho with internal platforms and external services using REST APIs, OAuth and webhooks.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions, explaining options and trade-offs clearly.
• Improve data quality, application reliability and the flow of information between departments and systems.
• Support data migration, field mapping, deduplication and reconciliation.
• Troubleshoot application issues, failed automations and integration errors, addressing their underlying causes.
• Test changes before rollout and maintain clear technical documentation, configuration records and user guidance.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external development teams and Zoho support when required.
• Help users adopt new features and improve how they use existing systems.

Required Skills And Experience

• Proven hands-on experience developing and customising solutions within the Zoho ecosystem.
• Strong proficiency in Deluge scripting and Zoho CRM.
• Experience with workflows, Blueprints, custom functions, approval processes and role-based access.
• Practical knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, OAuth authentication and webhooks.
• Experience integrating Zoho applications and handling synchronisation errors and duplicate records.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand business processes and recommend solutions beyond the initial request.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• A disciplined approach to testing, documentation, data security and ongoing maintenance.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Zoho Books, People, Payroll, Projects, Analytics, Creator or Flow.
• Experience migrating from Bigin to Zoho CRM or implementing CRM–Books integrations.
• Familiarity with SQL, reporting and dashboards.
• Working knowledge of PHP/Laravel or JavaScript.
• Exposure to logistics, supply chain, finance or other operations-intensive businesses.
• Experience managing systems across multiple business entities.
