Position Overview

As a YouTube Video Editor with 2-3 years of experience, you will be responsible for bringing our short-form content (YouTube Shorts) and other video series, you must be well-versed with AI-assisted editing, and a knowledge of post-production will be appreciated. You will collaborate closely with YouTube Content Creators and the Creative Team to ensure our video content aligns with our brand identity that will effectively engage with our audience.

Key Responsibilities

1. To create engaging and visually appealing both long and short-form videos for YouTube. This includes formatting and arranging footage, adding transitions, graphics, captions, and effects.
2. Use AI-powered editing tools and workflows to improve editing speed, efficiency, audio quality, captioning, content selection, and overall post-production.
3. Enhance audio quality by cleaning up background noise, maintaining consistent volume levels, and adding appropriate music and sound effects.
4. Select the most engaging moments from conversations and create compelling, coherent narratives for short-form videos. For this, you need to be well versed with what is working on YT from a video editing and formatting lense.
5. Create and integrate on-screen graphics, lower thirds, captions, and visual elements that complement the content.
6. Apply basic color correction and grading to maintain consistent and visually appealing visuals.
7. Work closely with Content Creators and YouTube Managers to understand their vision, incorporate feedback, and deliver the desired output.
8. Manage and organize project files to maintain efficient workflows and smooth collaboration among team members.
9. Stay updated with new AI video editing tools, generative AI tools, automation workflows, and emerging editing technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of content production.
10. Experiment with new editing techniques and AI-assisted workflows to create engaging and innovative YouTube content.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. 2-3 years of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio showcasing your work in YouTube content, podcasts, short-form videos, or similar content. Experience working with a YouTube Creator or YouTube channel is appreciated.
2. Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects or equivalent video editing software.Good knowledge of AI-powered video editing and content creation tools, with the ability to use AI to improve editing speed, workflow, audio, captions, visuals, and content production.
3. Familiarity with AI tools such as AI video generators, AI audio enhancement tools, AI captioning/transcription tools, AI-assisted editing tools, and AI automation workflows is needed.
4. A good understanding of visual storytelling, attention to detail, pacing, and the ability to transform raw footage into engaging content.
5. Basic understanding of video and audio codecs, aspect ratios, resolutions, frame rates, and other technical requirements for online platforms.
6. Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and incorporate feedback. A positive attitude towards the feedback is much appreciated.
7. Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects while maintaining quality standards.
8. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new AI tools, editing techniques, and evolving YouTube trends.
9. Strong interest in YouTube content, short-form storytelling, social media trends, and AI-driven content creation.
