Job summary

SODANI DIAGNOSTICS is seeking an X-Ray/CT Technician in Radiology. You will perform X-Ray and CT examinations, ensure correct patient data, and maintain high image quality with safe radiation practices.

Role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and readiness for urgent scans. Training and quality-improvement participation are expected as part of the department's standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology or equivalent.
• Basic PACS/RIS and computer knowledge.
• Relevant X-Ray and CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency X-Ray and CT examinations per protocols.
• Verify patient identity, requests, information and preparation before scanning.
• Ensure proper positioning, planning, exposure/parameters and coverage.
• Optimize image quality while minimizing repeats and dose.
• Perform CT contrast studies per safety protocols and report adverse reactions.
• Review images for quality, artifacts and labeling before completion.
• Perform CT reconstructions (MPR/MIP/3D) where applicable.
• Maintain RIS/PACS documentation and timely image transfer.
• Follow radiation protection, infection-control and safety procedures.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report downtime.
• Maintain exam-room cleanliness and equipment care.
• Support departmental targets for TAT, safety and patient satisfaction.
• Participate in training, audits and quality-improvement activities.

Job Purpose

To perform X-Ray and CT examinations safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care, image quality, radiation safety, and professional behaviour.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency X-Ray and CT examinations as per approved protocols.
• Verify patient identity, examination request, clinical information, and preparation before scanning.
• Ensure correct positioning, scan planning, exposure/CT parameters, and anatomical coverage.
• Optimize image quality while minimizing repeat examinations and radiation dose.
• Perform CT contrast studies as per approved safety protocols and promptly report adverse reactions.
• Review images for quality, artifacts, coverage, and correct labeling before completing the examination.
• Perform required CT reconstructions such as MPR/MIP/3D where applicable.
• Maintain accurate RIS/PACS documentation and ensure timely image transfer.
• Follow radiation protection, infection-control, MRI/CT safety, and emergency procedures applicable to the assigned modality.
• Perform daily equipment checks and immediately report equipment faults or downtime.
• Maintain examination-room cleanliness and equipment care.
• Support departmental TAT, quality, safety, and patient-satisfaction targets.
• Participate in training, audits, competency assessments, and quality-improvement activities.

Minimum Qualification

Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Radiology / Medical Imaging Technology or equivalent.
