Position Summary

The Workday HCM, Recruiting & Security Analyst is responsible for functional leadership, solution design, administration, optimization, and ongoing ownership of Workday HCM, Recruiting, and Security as a key member of the Global HR Shared Services team.

This role acts as a Workday strategic partner to HR Centers of Excellence, HR Shared Services, business stakeholders, HR Product Owners, IT, and downstream technology teams. The role will translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions, leveraging configuration, process design, and practical workarounds to address complex business needs.

The successful candidate will bring prior Workday implementation and /o r consulting experience, with the ability to connect the dots across the technology ecosystem, understand downstream impacts, and design solutions that balance business needs, system capabilities, user experience, and long-term sustainability.

This position will lead and contribute to Workday enhancements, implementations, organizational changes, releases, and special projects.

Reporting to the HR Shared Services Leader, this role combines Workday sec urity expertise , funct ional knowle dge, solution architecture, business partnership, implementation experience, and leadership thinking to continuously improve the HR technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Workday HCM: Own the functional design and optimization of Workday HCM business processes.


• Translate complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.


• Evaluate Workday functionality and develop configuration-based solutions and practical workarounds where standard functionality does not fully meet business needs.


• Connect requirements across Workday modules and consider upstream and downstream impacts when designing solutions.


• Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Product Owners and business stakeholders on Workday capabilities, limitations, and solution options.


• Workday Security: Serve as a functional SME for Workday Security, ensuring solutions align with business requirements, organizational structures, and governance standards.


• Design and implement Workday security solutions in conjunction with HCM and other module business processes, with strong knowledge of Workday security group types, including Intersection, Aggregation, and Mixed security groups, and their application in designing complex access requirements.


• Assess the impact of organizational and business process changes on security and recommend appropriate solutions.


• Apply a solution architect mindset across functional areas , considering the broader Workday ecosystem rather than individual modules in isolation.


• Identify dependencies and downstream impacts and proactively engage the appropriate stakeholders.


• Special Projects & Business Transformation: Lead and participate in Workday enhancements, implementations, organizational changes, and strategic HR technology initiatives across the solution lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through testing, deployment, and stabilization.


• Assess the impact of organizational changes and business priorities across modules. Lead UAT, regression, release testing, and implementation activities.


• HCM and Security, Recruiting and exposure to Compensation is considered a strong advantage.


• Evaluate solution options and drive delivery by balancing business needs, user experience, scalability, and sustainability while proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities.

Basic Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience working with Workday HCM and Security preferably in a Workday implementation or consulting environment.


• Workday certifications in HCM is a must and any Advanced Modules is preferred.


• Demonstrated experience with Workday implementations, enhancements, configuration projects, or complex solution design.


• Experience translating business requirements into Workday functional solutions and developing configuration-based workarounds.


• Experience with Workday Recruiting configuration, business processes, supporting Business as Usual, releases, and deployment activities.


• Strong understanding of cross-functional dependencies between Workday modules and downstream technologies.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently assess complex requirements and recommend solutions.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt solutions to changing business needs.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence global stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Workday Compensation and related business processes.


• Experience designing solutions across multiple Workday modules.


• Experience supporting organizational restructuring, business transformation, or significant changes in business processes.
