Job summary

ERM’s Global Delivery Centre in Gurugram seeks a Workday Functional Consultant to configure, optimise and support Workday HCM modules globally. You will collaborate with stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure robust HR processes and continuous improvement within a dynamic, cross-time-zone environment.

The role requires hands-on Workday configuration across Core HCM, Benefits and Compensation, plus strong problem-solving, communication, and governance capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday functional experience.
  • Experience in configuration, process mapping, testing, and continuous improvement of HR processes.
  • Experience supporting Benefits administration, configuration, or employee enrolment processes within Workday.
  • Workday Pro Certification in Platform Administration and Core HCM.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance requirements, and data governance principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and global delivery models.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Nice to Have Experience in global deployments and stakeholder management.
  • Experience with Benefits integrations involving carriers, payroll providers, or third-party vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support end-to-end configuration and administration of Workday modules: Core HCM, Absence, Talent Acquisition, Performance & Talent Management, Compensation (Core & Advanced), Benefits, Journeys, Knowledge, and Case Management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions and deliver high-quality configurations and enhancements.
  • Support Benefits administration activities, including plan configuration, life events, eligibility rules, enrolment processes, integrations, regulatory compliance requirements, and annual Open Enrollment events.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, audit, and data integrity standards, and support internal/external audits as required.
  • Monitor and resolve complex Workday-related incidents and service requests within SLA, providing clear and timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Support Workday releases, regression testing, and change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new features.
  • Prepare and maintain functional documentation, SOPs, and provide knowledge transfer to HR superusers and team members.
  • Stay current with Workday functionality, industry trends, and best practices; proactively recommend improvements and process optimisations.

What you’ll bring:

Working Model

The role follows a hybrid working arrangement, designed to facilitate effective global collaboration. Team members are expected to work between 14:00 and 23:00 IST. There may also be occasions when extended working hours are necessary to accommodate cross-time-zone activities.
