Job summary

ERM Consulting Delivery Hub in India is seeking a Data Engineer & Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data platforms, modern web applications, and cloud-based solutions enabling data-driven decision-making and digital transformation.

You will collaborate with colleagues worldwide, translate requirements into scalable solutions, and contribute to capability development while ensuring data quality, security, and governance across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 8–12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Application Development, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering concepts.
• Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions.
• Strong experience in modern web application development using ReactJS, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs and integrating enterprise systems.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar platforms.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, or similar ecosystems.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices, DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative leadership skills.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business challenges into scalable data and application solutions.

• Prepare technical documentation, testing records, architecture diagrams, user guides, and implementation artifacts.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data integration solutions using modern data engineering practices.
• Build and maintain web-based applications, portals, and digital solutions using ReactJS and related frontend technologies.

• Design and optimize databases, data models, and storage solutions for structured and unstructured data.
• Implement cloud-based data and application solutions using Azure, AWS, Microsoft Fabric, and related technologies.

• Support application deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement using DevOps and CI/CD best practices.

• Experience with Node.js, .NET, FastAPI, Flask, or similar backend development frameworks.
• Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience implementing data governance, data quality, and master data management practices.
• Experience developing enterprise dashboards using Power BI or similar visualization platforms.
• Exposure to environmental, sustainability, ESG, GIS, EHS, or asset management datasets is considered advantageous.
• Experience mentoring junior developers or data engineers and supporting capability development initiatives.
