Job summary

Huron is seeking a hands-on Workday Finance Functional Consultant to lead end-to-end implementations, focusing on Procurement, Supplier Accounts, and Supplier Contracts. This role requires strong business process design, configuration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable finance solutions.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Workday Finance, with a preference for P2P certification; R2R or C2C backgrounds are acceptable with relevant hands-on work.

Qualifications

• 36 years of hands-on experience as a Workday Finance Functional Consultant with end-to-end implementation experience.
• Strong functional expertise in Supplier Accounts, Contracts, Procurement, and Financial Reporting.
• Active Workday Finance certification in P2P preferred; R2R or C2C candidates may be considered if they have hands-on experience.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, supplier lifecycle management, supply chain operations, and finance best practices.
• Experience in requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in end-to-end Workday Finance implementations, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Configure and support Workday Finance business processes related to Procurement, Supplier Accounts, and Supplier Contracts.
• Gather business requirements, analyze existing processes, and translate them into effective Workday Finance solutions.
• Design, configure, and maintain business processes, approval workflows, and financial controls in line with business requirements.
• Support financial reporting, report development, and validation to ensure accurate and reliable financial data.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional teams to resolve functional issues and deliver project milestones.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT; support defect resolution and validate configuration changes.
• Prepare functional documentation, configuration workbooks, test scenarios, and user guides.
• Provide post-production support, troubleshoot functional issues, and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure solutions align with finance and procurement best practices, internal controls, and business objectives.

• Active Workday Finance certification in P2P (Procure-to-Pay) preferred. Candidates certified in R2R (Record-to-Report) or C2C (Contract-to-Cash) may also be considered if they have strong hands‑on experience in the required modules.
• Good understanding of procurement processes, supplier lifecycle management, supply chain operations, and finance best practices.
• Experience in requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline. An MBA in Finance is preferred.
