Job summary

WPP Enterprise Technology in Chennai is seeking a Workday Financials Consultant to join our Workday Services team and support expanding Workday Financials coverage across the organization.

You will deliver senior technical and process expertise, deploy enhancements, diagnose tickets, maintain up-to-date documentation, and contribute to global design standards while training other team members.

We are looking for a Workday Financials Consultant to join our Workday Services team supporting and enhancing our existing Workday deployment. This role and team will grow as we further deploy and expand our Workday Financials coverage across WPP. Reporting to the Workday Financials Product Manager this role is responsible for providing senior levels of technical and process expertise across Workday Financials. Working hand in hand with the wider Workday Services team, you will build relationships with our process owners, Shared Service Centre, and stakeholders as a source of expertise and support for Workday Financials and integrated applications.

• Solution and oversee deployment of Enhancements to our existing Financials deployments
• Diagnose and resolve assigned tickets for Workday Financials and integrated applications
• Investigate any functionality being released/introduced and collaborating with other functional Workday resources
• Maintain expertise on new functionality/features/capabilities in Workday and wider industry/financials/technology trends
• Accountable for maintaining up-to-date process documentation
• Expert in the art of the possible with Workday and providing creative solutions
• Safeguard global design standards and principles against competing requests for change
• Train other members of the team on Workday Financials and associated processes

• Workday Financials experience in a complex organization and ability to manage workload and prioritize effectively to meet customer expectations
• Ability to accurately collect information to understand and assess the clients’ needs
• Excellent finance/accounting knowledge in a global business and ability to communicate with finance colleagues
• Understanding of Shared Services operating models
• Strong ability to inspire and engage with a diverse team and create an inclusive culture across geographical boundaries
• Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in WPP ET and across the wider WPP business
• Strong technical knowledge of integrations is a plus
• Creative solutioning and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both with technical and non-technical audiences
