Job summary

Agilysis seeks a Workday Extend developer to build next‑gen applications on the Workday platform in Pune, India. You will partner with clients to translate business needs into Extend solutions and drive end‑to‑end delivery across multiple engagements.

You will lead design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support while mentoring teammates and shaping best practices. A strong background in Workday Extend, WWS, REST, and integrations is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical development with at least 3+ years in Workday Extend.
• Strong knowledge of Workday Web Services, REST APIs and Orchestration.
• Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, or Financials.
• Understanding of business process framework, calculated fields, reports, and security.
• Experience integrating Workday with third-party platforms.
• Prior consulting experience across multiple clients and projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Workday Extend Certification is a plus but not mandatory.

• Partner closely with clients to understand business requirements, challenges, and opportunities, translating them into innovative solutions using Workday Extend.
• Lead the planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Workday Extend applications across multiple client engagements.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Workday Extend, providing technical leadership and best-practice guidance to clients and internal teams.
• Design and develop scalable, user-friendly applications that enhance and extend Workday functionality to meet client-specific business needs.
• Support and maintain existing Workday Extend applications by troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and delivering new functionality.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, and business stakeholders to define solution approaches and ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive solution design discussions and provide recommendations aligned with Workday platform capabilities, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
• Perform technical analysis, solution estimation, and development planning to support project execution and client success.
