Job summary

Gowitek is seeking a motivated WordPress Developer with 1-2 years of hands-on experience to design, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, applying best practices and modern front-end techniques.

You will configure plugins, optimize performance and SEO, troubleshoot issues, ensure site security and backups, and collaborate with designers and marketers to implement enhancements including third‑party APIs and payments as required.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
• Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin customization.
• Basic understanding of PHP and MySQL.
• Experience with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
• Knowledge of responsive web design principles.
• Understanding of website hosting, domain management, and cPanel.
• Git version control experience is a plus.
