Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Wiring Harness Design Engineer to lead the design and optimization of harnesses for medium and heavy‑duty trucks. You will coordinate with stakeholders to finalize hardware, clamps, and fixation solutions, and ensure seamless integration with vehicle architecture.

You will create harness drawings, drive cross‑functional design proposals, and support supplier engagements to deliver robust, serviceable systems from concept to release.

Qualifications

• Experience designing wiring harnesses for medium and heavy duty trucks.
• Proficiency in SABER or Capital Harness XC/Creo Schematic required.
• Strong wiring harness and schematic skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize wiring harnesses for trucks in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Finalize designs including clamping and fixation with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and release harness bundle drawings; 2D creation using SABER.
• Drive design proposals and secure cross-functional agreements.
• Design for assembly and serviceability with GTO and After Market.
• Interface with suppliers and manage SIPD in product development.
• Support purchasing in evaluating technical solutions from suppliers.
• Coordinate with suppliers, systems engineering, and manufacturing to ensure quality.

Key responsibilities:

• Design & optimize wiring harnesses for medium and heavy duty trucks.
• Final design & development of WH (including clamping and fixation) through cooperation with stakeholders.
• Harness Bundle drawing preparation and release. 2D creation using SABER
• Driving design proposals/solutions cross functionally & secure agreements.
• Design for assembly and service ability in close cooperation with GTO and After Market
• Realize the Product Structure
• Interface to supplier(s) & Supplier Involvement in Product Development (SIPD) management.
• Support Purchasing in the request for quotation: evaluation of technical solutions from the different suppliers.
• Wiring engineer has to work in close co-operation with multiple stakeholders- suppliers, systems engineering, system- and component owners, purchasing, manufacturing and aftermarket.
• Quality test & Build involvement.

Competence Requirements

• Fully proficient knowledge in Electrical Architecture and Truck architecture
• Expert level knowledge in SABER or any Electrical integration tool like Capital Harness XC/Creo Schematic
• Wiring Harness & schematic skill
• Strong knowledge of KOLA (PDM tool) will be added advantage
• Established Industry network in this domain is a merit
• Experience in technical feasibility studies in collaboration with partners is a merit
