Position Summary
Inabia Solutions is seeking experienced Wireless Policy Engineers to support the design, deployment, optimization, and lifecycle management of carrier-grade Policy and Charging platforms across 4G LTE and 5G mobile networks. Detailed Job Description
As a Wireless Policy Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, integration, optimization, and support of advanced policy control and charging platforms within large-scale telecommunications environments. You will work extensively with Amdocs (Openet) PCRF/OCS solutions, Nokia Network Policy Controller (NPC), and Sandvine AppLogic DPI/PCEF platforms to deliver highly available and scalable services. The successful candidate will participate in platform deployments, software upgrades, network integrations, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and operational support activities across LTE EPC and 5G Core environments. In addition, you will collaborate with core network, charging, operations, cloud, virtualization, and vendor teams to ensure platform stability and service excellence. This role is ideal for telecom professionals passionate about policy management, subscriber experience optimization, and next-generation mobile network technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain mobile network policy and charging platforms.
- Administer Amdocs (Openet) AOC/AOP Data PCRF and Online Charging System (OCS) environments.
- Support Nokia Network Policy Controller (NPC) Voice PCRF platforms.
- Configure, manage, and optimize Sandvine AppLogic PCEF and Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions.
- Implement and maintain Policy and Charging Control (PCC) functionality across LTE and 5G networks.
- Support policy enforcement, subscriber management, charging, and quality of service configurations.
- Perform platform integration with mobile core network elements and charging systems.
- Monitor system performance, capacity utilization, and service availability.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Support software upgrades, migrations, change requests, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution and solution implementation.
- Develop operational procedures, technical documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Ensure compliance with operational, performance, and security standards.
- Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting carrier-grade wireless core network environments.
- Grade I: 2-5 years of telecom core network experience.
- Grade II: 5-8 years of telecom core network experience.
- Grade III: 8-10+ years of telecom core network experience.
- Hands-on experience with PCRF, OCS, PCF, or policy control platforms.
- Grade I: 2-3 years of PCRF/OCS experience.
- Grade II: 3-5 years of PCRF/OCS experience.
- Grade III: 5+ years of PCRF/OCS experience.
- Strong experience with Amdocs (Openet) policy and charging platforms.
- Experience supporting Nokia NPC Voice PCRF environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Sandvine AppLogic, PCEF, and DPI technologies.
- Strong understanding of LTE Evolved Packet Core (EPC) architecture.
- Knowledge of 5G Core architecture and service-based network concepts.
