Job summary

Unisys India Private Limited is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer in Bengaluru to fault isolate, monitor, and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure. You will configure LAN/WAN/WLAN, security devices, and cloud integrations while driving ITIL-aligned changes and automation.

The role requires 3+ years in networking, ITIL certification, and hands-on experience with Cisco/WLC/Meraki ecosystems, virtualization concepts, and public clouds. A CCNA accreditation is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in network technologies
• ITIL foundation knowledge and certification
• Hands-on with Cisco routers, Catalyst/Nexus switches, WLCs & Meraki devices; HP/Aruba switches; Cisco ISE/DNAC; ACI SD-WAN; Silver Peak; VeloCloud
• Good understanding of virtualization concepts
• Knowledge of public clouds like Azure, AWS, Google
• Associate level certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Aruba ACSA)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Perform fault isolation and resolution per SLA
• Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure per ITIL guides

• Automate repetitive tasks and share best practices across teams

• Plan network changes per ITIL change management
• Meet or exceed customer SLA/OLA metrics
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to resolve issues

Wireless Network Engineer

What success looks like in this role:

• Perform fault isolation and resolution in a methodical manner in accordance with SLA.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Network Infrastructure within the guidelines of Incident Management (Return-to-Service), Problem Management (Reason for Outage) and Change management.
• Configuration management of Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Wireless LANs, network segments, security devices and Internet and Intranet systems to ensure operability.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configuration.
• Continuously explore the opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and share the best practices across all the teams.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, routers, switches, WLAN controllers.
• Remotely support customers and/or onsite technicians test and turn-ups of WAN and LAN equipment.
• Work with engineering department to develop customer and device specific knowledge base.
• Plan and implement network changes as per the ITIL change management process.
• Meet and exceed customer SLA or OLA metrics.
• Work with third party vendors to remediate and resolve customer issues.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in network technologies.
• ITIL foundation knowledge and certification.
• Hand on experience in working with following platforms/products: Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Nexus switches, WLCs & Meraki devices HP, Aruba switches, routers & WLCs Cisco ISE, Cisco DNAC, ACI SD WAN – Silver peak, Velo cloud etc.
• Good level of understanding on the virtualization concepts.
• Knowledge on Public Clouds like Azure, AWS, Google Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
• Hand on experience with routers, switches, wireless controllers. (Cisco, Aruba, and Meraki)
• Associate level certification in one or more fields. (Cisco- CCNA, Aruba - ACSA)
• Proficient with standard troubleshooting practices and methodologies.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
