Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. in Pune seeks an experienced automotive wiring harness engineer to own routing, harness schematics, and installation projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality deliveries and robust electrical system integration.

The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on Creo wiring harness 3D modeling, and knowledge of Creo Schematics and PLM tools. Experience with sheet metal brackets and RCA/FTA quality tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive wiring harness design and integration.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and knowledge of electrical components.
• Hands-on experience with Creo wiring harness 3D modeling.
• Knowledge of Creo Schematics and PLM tools is advantageous.
• Design and development of sheet metal brackets is a plus.
• Familiarity with RCA/FTA quality tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of routing, flattening, and harness schematics understanding.
• Work independently or with a small team to deliver duties on time.
• Integrate deliveries from cross-functions and ensure quality before releases.
• Ensure deliveries meet requirements and timelines.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver accordingly.
• Develop wiring installation projects including routing and clipping solutions.
• Ensure design correctness and completeness for wiring harness and schematic releases.

Job description

1. Have responsibility for Routing/ flattening the Harness, Bundle Harness and Schematics understanding.

2. Should be able to work individually and/or with a small team actively to secure the deliverables

3. Integrate deliveries from cross-functions and secure quality and readiness before releases.

4. Ensure the deliveries are met as per the set requirements and timelines.

5. Frequent interactions with internal stakeholders, clarify the requirements and deliver accordingly.

6. Develop and implement wiring installation projects within the area of assignment including related routing and clipping solutions.

7. Ensures design correctness and completeness for all wiring harness, schematic & wiring harness installation releases within the area of responsibility.

Skills & experience required :

1. Automotive experience preferably in the on high way, off high way, Powertrain industry.

2. Strong in Engineering fundamentals and excellent knowledge of electrical components.

3. Hands-on experience in tools such as Creo wiring harness 3D modeling.

4. Creo Schematics and PLM tool knowledge will have added advantage.

5. Knowledge in the design and development of sheet metal brackets is added advantage.

6. Knowledge of product development cycle and quality tool such as RCA/FTA.
