Job description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Vice President Record to Report (R2R) to lead the end-to-end R2R finance function, drive operational excellence, manage strategic customer relationships, and lead transformation initiatives across the finance operations tower.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in global R2R service delivery, with a proven track record in managing large teams, P&L, strategic cost optimization, governance, continuous improvement, and technology-led transformation, including AI Agents and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end Record to Report (R2R) function, ensuring delivery against agreed SLAs, KPIs, and business objectives.
• Own overall process performance metrics, operational governance, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage the tower’s P&L, strategic cost management, productivity, resource planning, and financial performance.
• Drive cost optimization while maintaining the right balance between risk, efficiency, compliance, and innovation.
• Lead governance forums with customer leadership and internal stakeholders, providing clear visibility into performance, risks, issues, and transformation initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders and act as a strategic business partner.
• Lead large and diverse teams with an empathetic, people-centric leadership approach.
• Develop talent, strengthen leadership capabilities, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Drive process standardization, simplification, automation, and continuous improvement across R2R.
• Partner with internal and external technology teams to evaluate and deploy AI Agents, GenAI, automation, analytics, and other technology solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, accuracy, controls, compliance, and stakeholder experience.
• Establish and execute a transformation roadmap aligned with business and customer objectives.
• Ensure strong financial controls, governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management across the R2R function.

End-to-End R2R Process Ownership:

The candidate should have strong knowledge and experience across the complete Record to Report lifecycle, including:

• Work with internal and external teams to design, pilot, and deploy AI Agents and technology solutions.
• Drive automation to improve productivity, accuracy, turnaround time, and quality.
• Establish a roadmap for process simplification, standardization, and digital transformation.
• Measure and communicate measurable business benefits from transformation initiatives.
• Promote adoption of emerging technologies while maintaining appropriate controls and governance.

Customer & Stakeholder Management:

• Act as the senior point of contact for R2R service delivery and governance.
• Lead executive-level governance discussions with customer leadership.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders through transparency, credibility, and effective communication.
• Manage escalations and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
• Collaborate with Finance, Controllership, Tax, Treasury, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and other stakeholders.
• Influence stakeholders and drive alignment on strategic priorities.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in a senior leadership role such as Global R2R GPO, Head of R2R, Assistant Vice President R2R, or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end Record to Report service delivery.
• Deep understanding of finance processes, accounting principles, best practices, technologies, tools, and operating models.
• Strong experience managing large-scale teams and complex global operations.
• Proven experience in P&L management, strategic cost management, productivity, and operational performance.
• Strong transformation and continuous improvement experience.
• Experience implementing AI, automation, and technology-led solutions within finance operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
