Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Windows Server Administrator in India to install, configure, and troubleshoot server OS, patches, and related infrastructure. You will handle AD, DNS, DHCP, printers, file services, and hardware through HP iLO and Dell iDRAC, with on-call rotations and strong customer service.

Candidates should have 4–6 years of relevant experience, ITIL certification, and hands-on cloud experience (AWS/Azure).

Qualifications

• At least 4 to 6 years of experience as Windows Server Admin.
• One Cloud platform hands on experience (AWS/Azure).
• Hands on experience on DHCP, Printers, File Server, OS troubleshooting and AD/DNS.
• Good experience on Windows server patching process using WSUS.
• ITIL Certified.
• Dell/HP Server hardware and work experience on HP ILO and Dell iDRAC.

Responsibilities

• Must have experience in Windows Server Installation, configuration, upgrade and troubleshooting of the OS issues.
• Experience in Windows server patching using WSUS and troubleshooting of the patching issues faced during the patching activity.
• Server performance issues (Memory, Disk, CPU and network).
• Good understanding of the networking concepts (IP, gateway, routing, tracing etc).
• Experience in server builds and decommission process.
• Good experience in Active directory, DNS, Printers and DHCP related issues.
• Identify potential challenges that may impact our client and infrastructure.
• Ability to plan activities and projects and considers possible changing circumstances.
• Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
• Participate in a 24/7 on call support rotation.
• Provide outstanding customer service by interacting directly with clients on client issues.
• Communicate issues and recommendations back to leadership in clear, concise manner
• Support other functional teams on a regular basis, Support a data centre environment (hardware and software) to ensure maximum availability for customers, including hands and feet support in data centres.
