Wipro Limited in Bengaluru invites a Senior Windows Server Administrator to join our global infrastructure team. You will provide technical support to clients, manage Windows Server OS (2008-2025), and perform detailed troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on Windows Server administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and clustering.
• Experience in patch management and OS hardening.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to clients, respond promptly to issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage, configure, and support Windows Server OS across versions (2008–2025).
• Troubleshoot OS issues, kernel-level errors, and BSOD problems; strong Windows server recovery skills.
• Perform AD forest/domain management, FSMO roles, DNS/DHCP administration.
• Configure and manage Group Policies, security baselines, and login scripts.
• Perform cluster implementation and troubleshooting for Windows failover/ file server/ Always-On clusters.
• Manage patch cycles using WSUS, SCCM, JetPatch, BigFix, etc.
• Handle file share servers, DFS, quotas, and migration/lifecycle tasks for Windows technologies.
• On-site data centre support for infrastructure maintenance; 24x7 shift possible.
• Work with local and global teams; learn new technologies quickly; document work.

Job Description:

Should have good communication skills in English to interact directly with the customer. Should have proper email etiquettes.

To provide technical support to clients at all times, and must respond promptly to issues reported by clients, conducting root cause analysis and going through various testing scenarios for thorough resolution.
Hands on experience in Hardware issues and RAID, experience in problem solving Capability in IBM, Nutanix, HP and Dell Hardware
Manage, configure, and support Windows Server OS (2008/2012/2016/2019/2022/2025).
Expert experience in OS performance issues. Troubleshoot complex OS issues, kernel-level errors, and BSOD problems, strong troubleshooting skill in Windows server recovery.
Perform AD Forest/domain management, FSMO role handling, DNS/DHCP administration.
Configure and manage Group Policies, security baselines, and login scripts
Perform cluster implementation and troubleshooting skill for Windows failover Cluster, file server cluster, Always-On clusters.
Implement OS hardening, CIS compliance, and security remediation.
Manage patch cycles using available patching tool like WSUS, SCCM, JetPatch, BigFix etc.
Expert knowledge in DHCP, Scopes and understanding super scopes and troubleshooting of any issues.
Must have hands on experience in File share servers, quota implementation and DFS troubleshooting.
Strong experience in migration, upgradation planning, coordination, life cycle management for various Windows technologies like File server, Windows Operating System etc.
Experience in handling print servers, KMS Servers, SFTP servers.
Troubleshooting on WSUS issues.
An ability to learn new technologies quickly good time management skills with strong documentation skills.
Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
Provide on-site support at data centre for infrastructure maintenance activities
Working knowledge in Scripting and Automation
Work with Local & Global Teams
Perform in 24 x 7 environment in shift roaster and attend calls whenever assigned
