Job summary

Veoneer Safety Systems, India in Bengaluru is seeking a Windchill PLM Developer & Support Engineer with 6-8 years of hands-on Windchill experience to design, develop, customize, and support Windchill PLM solutions, partnering with business users and global IT teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

You will configure Windchill modules like PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, and Change Management, develop integrations using Java, REST APIs, and ensure CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Windchill PLM development, customization, integration, and support.
• Strong expertise in Windchill modules: PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, Change Management, Workflow Administration, Lifecycle Management, Classification, Access Control.
• Hands-on with Java/J2EE, JSP, JavaScript, XML, SQL, Windchill APIs, Info*Engine, REST APIs, Web Services.
• Experience building Windchill customizations: workflows, listeners, validators, form processors, data utilities, schedulers, UI components.
• Experience integrating Windchill with ERP, CAD, and other enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of PLM/PDM concepts, SDLC, Agile.
• DevOps experience: GitLab, Jenkins, version control, CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving, strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive ownership mindset; knowledge of Automotive/Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, customize, and support Windchill PLM solutions to meet requirements.

• Configure and enhance Windchill modules (PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, Change Management, Workflows, Lifecycle).
• Develop custom solutions and integrations using Java, JSP, Windchill APIs, InfoEngine, REST APIs, and Web Services.
• Build and maintain integrations between Windchill and ERP, CAD, MDM, and engineering systems.
• Manage source code, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Drive testing activities (unit, integration, regression, UAT).
• Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot, root cause analysis, preventive actions.
• Support releases, upgrades, patches, and system enhancements for stability and performance.
• Create technical documentation and foster knowledge sharing.

What Will You Do?

• Design, develop, customize, and support Windchill PLM solutions to meet business and engineering requirements.

• Partner with business users, SMEs, and global IT teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Provide L2/L3 support, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

• Support releases, upgrades, patches, and system enhancements while ensuring platform stability and performance.

• Create technical documentation, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to strengthening Veoneer's internal PLM capabilities.

What Will You Bring?

• 6+ years of experience in Windchill PLM development, customization, integration, and support.

• Strong expertise in Windchill modules including PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, Change Management, Workflow Administration, Lifecycle Management, Classification, and Access Control.

• Hands-on experience with Java/J2EE, JSP, JavaScript, XML, SQL, Windchill APIs, Info*Engine, REST APIs, and Web Services.

• Experience developing Windchill customizations such as workflows, listeners, validators, form processors, data utilities, schedulers, and UI components.

• Proven experience integrating Windchill with ERP, CAD, and other enterprise systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

• Strong understanding of PLM/PDM concepts, software architecture, SDLC, and Agile delivery methodologies.

• Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including GitLab, Jenkins, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and operational challenges.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across global teams.

• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset focused on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and delivering business value.

• Windchill certifications, upgrade/migration experience, and exposure to Automotive or Manufacturing industries will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualification: BE / BTech / ME / MTech
