Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an experienced PLM Windchill Architect to join our EPLM Team in Pune, India. You will lead PLM projects, including analysis, configuration, upgrades, migrations, and implementation for high-profile life sciences clients.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, strong communication, and hands-on Windchill, WBM, Java or Python, and database skills (Oracle/SQL Server). This role requires close collaboration with clients and peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Data Science or equivalent experience in the industry.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases is required.
• Experience with PTC Windchill upgrades (11.x and up) is preferred.
• Experience with Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) and Windchill projects.
• Java or Python programming experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executing all phases of PLM projects including implementation, upgrade, and migration.
• Developing and maintaining tools to support projects such as implementation and upgrade.
• Participating in all stages of the project from development through testing and support.

PLM Windchill Architect

Birlasoft is currently seeking an experienced PLM Windchill Architect who enjoys interacting with both customers and peers to be part of our Extended Product Lifecycle Management (EPLM) Team. The consultant will be involved in all phases of projects, from analysis of client’s needs to implementation, upgrade, migration, configuration, and execution of all phases for PLM projects. The consultant will be dealing with high profile life sciences customer and will be required to configure and execute solutions to meet the client’s complex needs, hence need life sciences or medical devices industry experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a willingness to provide support along with strong technical knowledge.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Executing all phases of a PLM projects like implementation, upgrade and migration including assessment of current state, development, and other facets of the PLM project lifecycle.
• Developing and maintaining tools to support various projects like implementation, upgrade, and others.
• Actively participating in all stages of the project from development through testing by supporting the rest of the project team
• Developing relationships with the clients and supporting them during the project lifecycle
• Meeting with and utilizing teammates’ expertise to maximize project efficiency
• Attention to details and documenting methods and lessons learned

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science or Data Science and/or equivalent experience in the industry
• Database experience (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Experience with PTC Windchill upgrades, Windchill 11.x and up preferred
• Experience with PTC’s Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM)
• Experience with Java or Python programming preferred
