Job summary

Birlasoft is seeking an experienced PLM Windchill Architect to join its EPLM team in Pune. The role involves client interaction, project lifecycle from analysis to deployment, upgrades, migrations, and configuration for PLM projects in life sciences or medical devices domains.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of multi-disciplinary experience, strong communication, and hands-on knowledge of Windchill upgrades (11.x+), Windchill Bulk Migrator, and Java or Python. Bachelor's degree required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with PLM Windchill and database systems (Oracle, SQL Server).
• 15+ years of experience in PLM or related environments.

Responsibilities

• Executing all phases of a PLM project such as implementation, upgrade, and migration, including assessment of current state and development.
• Developing and maintaining tools to support projects such as implementation, upgrade, and others.
• Actively participating in all stages of the project from development through testing by supporting the rest of the project team.
• Developing relationships with the clients and supporting them during the project lifecycle.
• Meeting with and utilizing teammates’ expertise to maximize project efficiency.
• Attention to detail and documenting methods and lessons learned.

PLM Windchill Architect

Birlasoft is currently seeking an experienced PLM Windchill Architect who enjoys interacting with both customers and peers to be part of our Extended Product Lifecycle Management (EPLM) Team. The consultant will be involved in all phases of projects, from analysis of client’s needs to implementation, upgrade, migration, configuration, and execution of all phases for PLM projects. The consultant will be dealing with high profile life sciences customers and will be required to configure and execute solutions to meet the client’s complex needs, hence need life sciences or medical devices industry experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a willingness to provide support along with strong technical knowledge.

Area of Responsibility

The consultant will be responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of PLM Windchill projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and technical best practices.

Candidate Profile

Candidate with 15+ years of experience and ability to work in complex, multi‑disciplinary environments.

Responsibilities

Experience And Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Data Science and/or equivalent experience in the industry.
• Database experience (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Experience with PTC Windchill upgrades, Windchill 11.x and up preferred.
• Experience with PTC’s Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM).
• Experience with Java or Python programming preferred.
