Job summary

Capgemini in Bengaluru seeks a senior Windchill Architect to own the entire architecture development process from inception to completion. The role demands deep PLM experience, hands-on Windchill solutioning, and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams.

You will define APIs, middleware flows, and integration patterns, while establishing DevOps/CI-CD practices for Windchill deployments and guiding UAT, cutover, and post-go-live optimization.

• Architect Windchill integrations with WBM (Windchill Bulk Migrator).
• Define APIs, middleware flows, and integration patterns.
• Establish DevOps/CI-CD approaches for Windchill deployments.
• Drive UAT, cutover planning, hypercare, and post go-live optimization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working cross-functionally to understand architecture needs by multiple business units. To be effective in this position, you must feel comfortable owning the entire architecture development process from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Engineering degree with 9+ years of experience in PLM with a minimum of 9+ years in PTC Windchill.
• Successfully led at least one (preferably multiple) large-scale greenfield Windchill implementations.
• Strong domain familiarity in engineering, manufacturing, and product development.
• Own Windchill solutioning and guide team including:
  • PDMLink, PartLink, MPMLink, and Supplier Management
  • Change management, configuration management, BOM management
  • CAD data management and visualization
• Architect integrations between Windchill and:
  • ThingWorx, Navigate, and IoT/digital thread environments
  • WBM (Windchill Bulk Migrator)
• Define APIs, middleware flows, and integration patterns.
• Expert-level proficiency in:
  • Windchill architecture & clusters
  • Java/J2EE, Info*Engine, OData, REST APIs
  • Database systems (Oracle/SQL Server)
  • Apache/Tomcat, directory services (LDAP/AD)
• Establish DevOps/CI-CD approaches for Windchill deployments.
