Job summary

Emerson Electric Co. is seeking an experienced Wind Power Commissioning engineer to lead site activities for turbine pitch systems, CMS, and SCADA.

You will engage with customers and on-site contractors, execute loop checks, and ensure safe, compliant project execution across wind and solar renewables. The role requires 4+ years of wind power SCADA/commissioning experience, along with strong communication skills and the ability to travel 30-50% to client sites.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Electrical or controls engineering with wind project experience.
• Minimum 4 years experience in wind power plant SCADA, PPC, pitch system commissioning.
• Willingness to travel 30-50% to customer sites.
• GWO certification and wind park safety familiarity.
• Experience with major Power Plant or OEMs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform site commissioning and engineering for wind turbine pitch systems, CMS, SCADA, and PPC.
• Understand SCADA architecture with Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC, DNP3, IEC interfacing.
• Compile data and write reports for renewable wind projects.
• Ensure safety and security compliance with customers and contractors.
• Collaborate with project teams and on-site contractors; loop checks at site.

Job description

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Performsitecommissioning & engineering for Wind Turbine Pitch system, CMS, SCADA and PPC
• Should be aware of SCADA Architecture with various interfacing protocol standards viz Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, OPC, DNP3, IEC etc.
• System understanding on Renewable (Wind, Solar) power generation process
• CompiledataandwritereportsforrenewableWindprojects.
• WorkingknowledgeofindustrystandardsincludingKPI’s&Gridcomplianceguidelines
• Compliancewithinternalandexternalcustomersafetyandsecurityrequirements.
• Workingwithcontractors/sub-contractors.
• Fosteringsmoothcollaborationandcommunicationwithprojectstakeholders(internal project teams, customer project teams and onsite contractors).
• WorkandimplementasperISOproceduresandguidelines. Loopchecksatsite.
