Job summary

Emerson Electric Co in India is looking for a Wind Power Commissioning Engineer to lead site commissioning and engineering for Wind Turbine Pitch systems, CMS, SCADA and PPC. You will collaborate with project teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure safe, compliant implementation on renewable projects.

The role requires 4+ years in wind power projects, travel 30-50% to customer sites, and GWO certification.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of Wind Power Plant project SCADA, PPC, Pitch system commissioning.
• Willing to travel 30-50% to customer sites.
• GWO certification required.
• Experience with major Power Plant or OEMs.
• Excellent language and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to interface with vendors and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities

• Perform site commissioning and engineering for Wind Turbine Pitch systems, CMS, SCADA and PPC.
• Understand SCADA architectures and interfacing protocols (Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, OPC, DNP3, IEC).
• Compile data and write reports for renewable wind projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, ISO procedures and guidelines.
• Coordinate with contractors, sub-contractors and project stakeholders.
• Loop checks at site and ensure project milestones are met.

In this Role,Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Perform site commissioning & engineering for Wind Turbine Pitch system, CMS, SCADA and PPC
• Should be aware of SCADA Architecture with various interfacing protocol standards viz Modbus RTU/TCP-IP, OPC, DNP3, IEC etc.
• System understanding on Renewable (Wind, Solar) power generation process
• Compile data and write reports for renewable Wind projects.
• Working knowledge of industry standards including KPI’s & Grid compliance guidelines
• Compliance with internal and external customer safety and security requirements.
• Working with contractors/sub-contractors.
• Fostering smooth collaboration and communication with project stakeholders (internal project teams, customer project teams and onsite contractors).
• Work and implement as per ISO procedures and guidelines. Loop checks at site.

• Excellentlanguageandcommunicationskills,bothverbalandwritten required.
• Abilitytointerfacewithvendors&sub-contractors.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• ProficiencywithWindTurbineequipmentandIED's independent commissioning.
• Experience with designing and implementing control system configuration (asper system Architecture)
• Basics of Networking.
• Hardware design (Control panels) and commissioning.
• Knowledge of SolarPV products, PV Process
• Programming Knowledge of C/Matlab
