Job summary

Williams-Sonoma India Technology Center seeks a Director to lead Enterprise Support & Reliability Engineering for the global supply chain tech stack. You will drive SRE, database engineering, incident management, and automation across eCommerce and IBM Sterling OMS platforms.

You will mentor leaders, partner with Engineering, DevOps, Product, and Infrastructure, and shape the reliability strategy for a Fortune 500-scale organization with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of technology experience with 5+ years in SRE/Operations leadership.
• Strong expertise in IBM Sterling OMS, Supply Chain & eCommerce platforms.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic).
• Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale reliability programs and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Site Reliability Engineering teams for enterprise eCommerce and OMS platforms.
• Oversee Database Engineering and DBA teams for availability, performance, security, and DR.
• Provide technical leadership across Supply Chain platforms and drive automation and observability.

Director Enterprise Support & Reliability Engineering (ESRE) Supply Chain.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a Director Enterprise Support & Reliability Engineering (ESRE) to lead the Supply Chain Support organization responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of Williams-Sonoma's global supply chain technology ecosystem.

Impact of the Role :

• Lead enterprise-wide reliability initiatives across global Supply Chain technology platforms.
• Drive operational excellence, production stability, and service reliability.
• Build high-performing SRE and Database Engineering teams.
• Improve customer experience by minimizing service disruptions.
• Drive automation, observability, disaster recovery, and operational maturity.

Technology Platforms You Will Work On :

• IBM Sterling Order Management System (OMS).
• Enterprise eCommerce platforms.
• Supply Chain and Logistics systems.
• Inventory Promising and Inventory Sourcing.
• Payment Processing, Returns, MDM.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead Site Reliability Engineering teams supporting enterprise eCommerce and IBM Sterling OMS.
• Lead Database Engineering and Database Administration (DBA) teams, ensuring availability, performance, scalability, security, backup and recovery, and operational excellence using enterprise database monitoring and performance management tools.
• Provide technical leadership across Supply Chain platforms.
• Drive automation, observability, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
• Partner with Engineering, DevOps, Product, Infrastructure, and Business teams.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering leaders.
• Drive production readiness, incident management, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications :

• 15+ years of technology experience and 5+ years leading SRE/Operations teams.
• Strong expertise in IBM Sterling OMS, Supply Chain systems, and eCommerce platforms.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, PagerDuty, and Opsgenie.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, incident management, disaster recovery, and operational governance.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
