Job summary

BinQle in Bengaluru is seeking a WiFi security engineer to design, implement, and validate firmware for embedded devices with enterprise-grade security features. The role demands strong hands-on expertise in WiFi protocol stacks, secure boot, and RTOS environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust networking, troubleshoot interoperability, and drive secure WiFi solutions across resource-constrained hardware, including field testing and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Experience in embedded WiFi firmware development with driver integration.
• Proficient in C/C++ and RTOS environments on resource-constrained devices.
• Strong knowledge of WPA2/WPA3 security modes and 802.1X/EAP-TLS.
• Experience debugging and interop using wireless packet captures.

Role Summary:

Design, implement, and validate WiFi firmware including security features on embedded systems. Troubleshoot and resolve WiFi interoperability issues in enterprise environments. Collaborate with teams to deliver robust networking solutions on resource-constrained devices.

What Youll Do:

• Develop and integrate WiFi firmware drivers and networking stacks (lwIP, Zephyr, TLS, MQTT) for embedded devices
• Implement and validate WPA2/WPA3-Personal and Enterprise (802.1X/EAP-TLS) security modes, including Protected Management Frames (802.11w)
• Debug AP vendor interoperability issues using wireless packet capture tools
• Collaborate with field teams and customer IT staff
• Utilize debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve issues

What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):

• Proficiency in embedded WiFi firmware development, including WiFi driver and wpa_supplicant/hostap integration
• Experience with TCP/IP networking stacks (lwIP/Zephyr net stack, TLS, MQTT) on resource-constrained devices
• In-depth knowledge of WiFi security (WPA2/WPA3-Personal, WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise with 802.1X/EAP-TLS, 802.11w)
• Experience debugging AP vendor interoperability issues using wireless packet capture tools
• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with assembly language
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) programming and debug
• Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
• Strong logical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):

• Familiarity with enterprise/managed network environments (VLANs, RADIUS, captive portals, client isolation)
• Familiarity with healthcare IT environments
• Understanding of BLE/WiFi 2.4 GHz coexistence mechanisms and RF fundamentals
• Zephyr RTOS experience
• Experience in NXP RW61x, Silicon Labs, or similar connectivity microcontrollers
