Job summary

Techstar Group is seeking a Senior QA Support Engineer to validate OpenWiFi/OpenWrt enterprise Wi‑Fi products. The role emphasizes hands-on enterprise wireless testing, Linux debugging, and test automation using Python or Shell scripting.

The candidate will lead validation of firmware releases, perform end-to-end network testing, and collaborate with development teams for issue reproduction and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Hands-on testing experience with enterprise wireless systems.
• Strong debugging skills in Linux networking and issue reproduction.
• Experience with validation of firmware, interoperability, and performance.
• Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting for test automation.
• OpenWrt/OpenWiFi experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead validation activities for enterprise Wi-Fi firmware releases.
• Validate enterprise wireless features (WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise, Captive Portal, VLAN, etc.).
• Perform end-to-end Layer 2/3 networking validation.
• Conduct functional, regression, interoperability, stress, and performance testing.
• Analyze networking issues using packet captures and logs; debug with Wireshark/tcpdump.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline testing and reporting.

We are looking for a Senior QA Support Engineer with strong experience in OpenWiFi/OpenWrt, enterprise Wi‑Fi validation, and networking technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in enterprise wireless testing, networking protocols, Linux debugging, and test automation using Python or Shell scripting. The role involves validating enterprise Wi‑Fi firmware, performing interoperability and performance testing, troubleshooting complex networking issues, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high‑quality product releases.
