Job summary

Daskalos is seeking a Website Engineering Lead to build and maintain high-performance WordPress sites. You will oversee theme/plugin development, code reviews, and ensure reliable releases. Collaborate with Product and Marketing to drive website initiatives.

You will work with a cross-functional team to optimize performance, implement SEO strategies, and integrate Salesforce. Strong PHP (8+), WordPress expertise, and CI/CD experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of professional experience developing WordPress applications using PHP (PHP 8+) with strong OOP knowledge.
• Expertise in custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Strong knowledge of WordPress hooks, filters, APIs, REST APIs, and Composer.
• Experience with Custom Post Types, Taxonomies, and Metadata.
• Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and Vanilla JavaScript.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with WordPress via APIs or middleware.
• Experience optimizing Core Web Vitals and website performance.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and automated testing.
• Solid understanding of MySQL, Linux, caching, CDN, HTTP, security, and API integrations.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
