Job summary

Daskalos is seeking a Website Engineering Lead to build and maintain high-performance WordPress websites. You will develop custom themes/plugins, review code, and ensure reliable releases while collaborating with Product and Marketing to implement website initiatives.

You will drive performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and integrations with Salesforce, along with CI/CD and automated testing to maintain engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience developing WordPress applications in PHP 8+ with strong OOP knowledge.
• Strong expertise in custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Experience with WordPress hooks, filters, APIs, REST APIs, and Composer.
• Knowledge of Custom Post Types, Taxonomies, and Metadata.
• JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and Vanilla JavaScript.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with WordPress via APIs or middleware.
• Experience optimizing website performance and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and automated testing.
• Understanding MySQL, Linux, caching, CDN, HTTP, website security, and API integrations.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities
