Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems 24x7 and respond to incidents

• Manage deployments, patching, and config changes in production and lower environments
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes
• Support releases and coordinate with development/infrastructure teams
• Document SOPs, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles
• Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Change and Problem Management
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely stakeholder updates

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency-

• We are seeking a highly skilled Production Support Engineer with hands-on expertise in Linux administration, SQL databases, and WebLogic application server administration.
• The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of production environments, while coordinating with development and infrastructure teams to resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor production systems, batch jobs, and application health on a 24x7 basis (as per shift schedules).
• Perform daily health checks of Linux servers, databases, and WebLogic environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux OS, SQL queries, and WebLogic application server.
• Manage deployments, patching, and configuration changes in production and lower environments.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and provide permanent fixes.
• Optimize SQL queries and support database performance tuning.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve application-level issues and support releases.
• Document standard operating procedures (SOPs), troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely updates to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands‑on experience with Linux/Unix administration (commands, shell scripting, troubleshooting).
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle/MySQL/SQL Server) query writing, debugging, optimization.
• Solid knowledge of WebLogic Server administration (installation, configuration, deployments, performance tuning, thread/heap monitoring)
• Good understanding of system monitoring tools (Nagios, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, Remedy, etc.).
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
