Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Web Development Specialist in Digital Engineering & MarTech to build scalable digital platforms for our global presence. You will work on WordPress/Drupal, design REST APIs, and integrate marketing tech while ensuring performance and accessibility.

Collaborate with marketing, analytics, and design teams; mentor junior developers and uphold code quality. 3 days/week in Navi Mumbai with some remote options. Eligible for mentoring and global training programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in WordPress/Drupal, strong PHP (OOP) and CMS architecture knowledge.
• Experience with REST APIs, headless CMS, MySQL optimization.
• Performance optimization: Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility.
• Marketing tech integrations and analytics implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and maintenance of WordPress and Drupal platforms, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.
• Architect and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, and headless/decoupled CMS solutions.
• Optimize websites for performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO, and accessibility standards.
• Partner with marketing, analytics, and design teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.
• Implement and manage analytics frameworks (GTM, GA4) and translate requirements into tracking.
• Design integrations with CRM, marketing automation, and design systems.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
• Define and enforce best practices for code quality, security, and scalability.

The Work You'll Do

As a Web Development Specialist - Digital Engineering & MarTech, you'll be at the forefront of building scalable, high-performing digital platforms that power Sovos' global presence. This role blends deep CMS expertise with modern frontend development and marketing technology integrations, ensuring seamless, data-driven digital experiences.

Innovation & Engineering

• Lead development and maintenance of WordPress and Drupal platforms, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.

Architect and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, and headless/decoupled CMS solutions.

Optimize websites for performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO, and accessibility standards.

Partner with marketing, analytics, and design teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.

Implement and manage analytics frameworks (GTM, GA4) and translate business requirements into tracking solutions.

Design integrations with CRM, marketing automation, and design systems.

Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers.

Operational Excellence

Define and enforce best practices for code quality, security, and scalability.

Ensure high availability and performance of enterprise-grade websites.

Maintain documentation for configuration, release, and deployment processes.

CMS & Backend Expertise: 3+ years in WordPress/Drupal, strong PHP (OOP), and CMS architecture knowledge.

Architecture & Integration: REST APIs, headless CMS, MySQL optimization, Git, CI/CD pipelines.

Performance & Security: Core Web Vitals, caching strategies, CDN implementation, secure coding standards.

MarTech & Analytics: GTM, GA4, DataLayer, event-based tracking, Salesforce/Marketo/HubSpot integrations.

Bonus Skills

Experience with headless WordPress/Drupal using React or Next.js.

Familiarity with A/B testing, personalization, and marketing automation workflows.

Background in enterprise-grade or high-traffic websites.
