Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Project Manager to deliver enterprise-grade product implementations for global tax compliance. You will be the client-facing lead, coordinating with clients, internal teams and partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include defining scope, managing schedules and resources, controlling costs, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing software implementation projects in a client-facing role.
• Experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles from kickoff to Go-live and Hypercare.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Experience in multi-country/region projects is a plus.
• Strong time management, organization, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all assigned projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Develop project scopes and objectives with stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility.
• Develop and control project schedules; communicate changes promptly.
• Manage resources and approve billable time/expenses for the project.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and conduct weekly project review meetings.
• Identify issues, devise contingency plans, and manage change control.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, we deliver enterprise-grade solutions that power global tax compliance for some of the world’s largest organizations. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering Sovos product implementation projects. This is client-facing project management role. You will be the point of contact during project life cycle and collaborate with clients, internal teams & partners to ensure successful projects delivery.

More specifically you will:

• Manage all assigned projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and maintenance of overall project ownership.
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Develop and control project schedule and communicate changes in a timely manner.
• Responsible for planning and managing project resources effectively.
• Responsible for managing and approving all billable time and expenses recorded against the project by Sovos Consultants, including your own project time and expenses.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
• Provide regularly scheduled updates to internal and external stakeholders and hold weekly project update meetings throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Manage expectations for internal and external stakeholders to ensure satisfaction throughout the implementation process.
• Proactively manage change control and communicate impact in project scope; identify issues, and devise contingency plans.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Serve as the first level of escalations for all Project-related risks and issues
• Must be comfortable working with Fortune 1000 companies.
• Fully responsible for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction for a defined portfolio or projects
• Comfortable and confident with making important decisions that impact project outcomes
• Act as an escalation point for complex situations.

What We Need From You:

• 3+ years of experience managing projects in software implementation/professional services company in a client facing role.
• Manage the entire project life cycle, from kick off to Go-live and Hypercare
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work assignments concurrently.
• Experience managing multi-country/region projects is an added advantage.
• E-Invoicing domain knowledge is an added advantage
• Strong time management, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated track record of finishing projects on time and budget, as per scope defined.
• Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
• Experience using Microsoft Projects or other Project Management solutions is highly desirable.
• Manage & Interact effectively with clients, internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve implementation goals.
• Excellent English communications skills (verbal and written).
• Comprehend and communicate complex concepts.
• Concentrate, analyze and resolve complex problems.
