Job summary

KAPV Advisers is hiring a Junior Accountant to support our US clients in a fully remote role. Location is remote with partial overlap with US Eastern time, and engagement may be dedicated to one client or shared across several smaller clients.

We seek candidates with a B.Com/M.Com or equivalent and solid fundamentals in accruals, reconciliations, and double-entry accounting. Strong Excel skills (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, pivots) and clear written English are essential.

Qualifications

• Solid fundamentals in accruals, reconciliations and double-entry accounting.
• Proficient in Excel with XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Experience with US GAAP basics or US tax knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud accounting tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Record daily transactions in QuickBooks Online / Xero.
• Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Manage AP and AR: bill entry, payment runs, invoicing and aging follow-ups.
• Post payroll entries and support payroll processing.
• Work on cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping projects.
• Prepare month-end schedules for prepaids, accruals and fixed assets.
• Organise workpapers for audit, review and tax support.
• Use automation and AI tools to speed up routine work.

• Experience: 1–3 years (strong freshers considered)
• Hours: Partial overlap with US Eastern time
• Engagement: Dedicated to one client’s books, or shared across 4–6 smaller clients
