Job summary

Sodexo in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a Shift Engineer with a valid C Licence to supervise electrical operations on rotational shifts. Qualifications

• Valid C Licence holder.
• 25 years of experience preferred in shift engineering.
• Experience with HT/LT panels and DG sets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering activities during the assigned shift.
• Operate and monitor HT/LT panels, transformers, DG sets, UPS and other electrical equipment.
• Ensure uninterrupted and safe power supply.
• Attend electrical breakdowns and coordinate with technicians for quick rectification.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and statutory requirements.
• Maintain shift logs, checklists, breakdown reports and maintenance records.
• Allocate duties to technicians and monitor shift activities.
• Coordinate with clients and other facility-management teams.
• Follow PTW, LOTO and other safety procedures.
• Handle emergencies and ensure proper shift handover.
• Monitor energy consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.
