Job summary

Growth For Impact is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to support water quality studies in Mumbai. You will contribute modelling inputs, run sensitivity analyses, and prepare technical reports in English, collaborating with colleagues and clients via video conferences.

The role requires a Civil Engineering background (or MSc in Water Resources/Environment) and experience with SWMM/WASP/SWAT, GIS tools, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in the water industry.
• Experience in WQ modelling using listed tools.
• Strong data and statistical analysis skills with Excel, R, SPSS, PowerBI.
• Proficiency in GIS tools such as ArcGIS/MapInfo.

Responsibilities

• Provide modelling inputs and analysis to support Water Quality studies/assessments.
• Perform sensitivity testing to quantify parameter uncertainty.
• Produce clear and concise technical reports in English.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients via video conferencing.

REQUIREMENTS

• A strong academic background with a degree in Civil Engineering and/or a master’s degree in Water Resources/Environment/Water Management/Hydrology, with 2 to 4 years of experience in the water industry.
• Experience in any WQ modelling using SWMM, WASP, SWAT, Qual2k, RIOT, HEWRAT, MIKE, SAGIS-SIMCAT, Infoworks ICM.
• Strong Data and Statistical analysis skills using Excel, R, SPSS, PowerBI etc.
• Proficiency in GIS, including MapInfo, ArcGIS, and open-source GIS tools.
• An understanding of the overall WQ parameters and treatment processes.
• Working towards achieving Chartered status.
• International experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards Chartership.
