Job summary

Ford in India seeks a Warranty Supplier Recovery Engineer to recover warranty spend from NA suppliers for Ford vehicles worldwide, handling monthly debit packs and supplier queries. You will coordinate root-cause analysis and samples when needed, and work with Ford PD to resolve disputes.

You will drive supplier recovery through negotiation, automation of reports, and data-driven improvements, strengthening supplier quality across Ford's network.

Qualifications

• BE in Mechanical/Automobile/Mechatronics/EEE/ECE; MBA preferred but not mandatory.
• 4–5 years of relevant automotive industry experience.
• Strong communication and data analytics skills with proficiency in Python, Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI.
• Advanced Excel skills and negotiation/supplier-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recover warranty spend from NA suppliers; send monthly debit packs and manage supplier responses via email/meetings.
• Resolve supplier disputes with Ford PD/Product Development team.
• Negotiate with suppliers to improve recovery share率 and Ford outcomes.
• Coordinate and ship samples for failure/root cause analysis when requested.
• Automate manual reports to drive efficiency and data-driven improvements.

Job description

The Warranty Supplier Recovery Engineer is responsible for recovering the warranty spend amount from NA suppliers ( for supplier parts failures in Ford vehicles built in NA & sold globally) for allocated commodity ( Eg : Power train, Electrical, Interior , Underbody, Exterior).

1. Responsibilities include sending the monthly debit packs/warranty claims to suppliers and needs to manage supplier responses/queries through emails/meetings.
2. In the event of supplier disputes, they need to work with Ford PD/Product Development team to resolve it.
3. Negotiate with suppliers to get better share rate % / recovery for Ford.
4. If supplier wants physical parts for analysis, they need to coordinate and ship samples to suppliers. They must get failure/root cause analysis report from suppliers to prevent failure recurrence.
5. Responsible to implement efficiency innovation projects through automation of manual reports if any by utilizing data analytical tools.
6. Overall, the intent of this team to get recovery for Ford and to improve suppliers’ parts quality thereby increasing retention at Ford network.
