Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Diploma holder with 2–4 years in warehouse operations to design and optimize material flow, manage kitting, and ensure timely production support. The role requires familiarity with SAP, MS Excel, and lean practices like 5S and Kaizen, with strong English communication.

Prior experience in manufacturing and ability to operate cranes and forklifts are preferred. The position focuses on improving layout efficiency, inventory accuracy, and safe handling of materials

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
• 2–4 years of professional work experience in Warehouse.
• Knowledge of MS Excel; SAP knowledge.
• Ability to operate industrial equipment including cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Experience in lean manufacturing: 5S, Kaizen, A3, PDCA.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize rack layout and material flow for high efficiency.
• Modify warehouse layout for kitting and sequencing to minimize movement and maximize space.
• Kitting of material per Production Order; prepare GRN in SAP; manage inbound material flow with documentation.
• Load and unload ROW and Finished goods.
• Create subcontracting challan to send material for vendor rework.
• Ensure timely material feeding to production lines and maintain low WIP.
• Periodically count inventory; provide logistics support within cross-functional teams.
• Design FG delivery packaging to improve picking, packing, safety and cost efficiency.
• Introduce automation to improve logistics processes and warehouse setup.
• Lead lean activities on the shop floor: 5S, visual management, value stream mapping.

The opportunity

Moves and stores materials/products using a combination of manual labor and low complexity machinery/equipment (e.g., forklifts and conveyors) including Handling and maintaining flow of materials and products according to established guidelines.

Logging the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and products.

Operating low complexity motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment A Experienced Para-Professional requires knowledge of job procedures and tools obtained through work experience and may require vocational or technical education.

Responsibilities may include Problems are typically of a routine nature, but may require some analysis to understand. Works under moderate to limited supervision for routine situations.

How you'll make an impact

• Design and optimize the rack layout & material flow to gain high efficiency.
• Modify the warehouse layout for kitting and sequencing area, to achieve shortest movement in warehouse and good usage of warehouse space.
• Kitting of material as per the Production Order and Pick List. Prepare the GRN in SAP. Handling all incoming material flow with proper documentation.
• Experience in loading and unloading Row and Finished goods.
• Create the Subcontracting challan to send material to vendor for rework.
• In charge of material feeding to production line timely and accurately and keep minimum WIP at the same time.
• Responsible for periodical inventory counting as per need. Provide logistic support on cross function team.
• Be responsible for designing the FG delivery package to ensure picking efficiency, packing efficiency, and safety and cost efficiency.
• Continuously improve logistic efficiency by introducing automation technology, especially for the logistic process and warehouse set-up.
• Lead and participate lean activities in the shop floor. 5S, Visual management, value stream mapping, layout and logistics improvement.

Your background
