Job summary

Greenlight Planet Inc. seeks a dynamic Warehouse Control Manager to lead end-to-end warehouse operations across India with potential Africa scope. You will own inventory integrity, safety, and KPI reporting, leveraging SAP/WMS to ensure accurate data and efficient workflows.

You will hire and coach warehouse staff, enforce safety standards, and drive process improvements while coordinating with Finance, Sales, and Planning—traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field; MBA preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Familiarity with C&F (Carrying & Forwarding) agent arrangements.
• Working proficiency in SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel, for stock and audit reporting.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Language proficiency in English and Hindi.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day operations in the warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows.
• Track and report key warehouse KPIs (order accuracy, dispatch turnaround time, inventory accuracy).
• Track stock levels, prevent loss, and run routine audits.
• Conduct inventory audits across India and, where required, in Africa.
• Create warehouse SOPs per global standards and implement across warehouses.
• Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse staff.
• Enforce health, safety, and security regulations.
• Inspect tools, machinery, and overall warehouse layout.

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Warehouse Control Manager to join our team. The Warehouse Control Manager will lead The Warehouse Control Manager owns end-to-end accountability for inventory integrity, safety, and team performance across a multi-country warehouse network spanning India and Africa (if required). It offers direct, visible impact on business outcomes, hands-on exposure to SAP/WMS-driven operations, and the chance to build the operational and people-leadership skills that are the foundation for senior supply chain roles. For someone who wants ownership rather than a checklist, this role delivers it from day one. Warehousing is where inventory risk, cost leakage, and compliance exposure concentrate. The right Warehouse Control Manager protects the business from stock loss, failed audits, safety incidents, and fulfillment delays, while ensuring the inventory data that Finance, Sales, and Planning rely on stays accurate. Because this role spans multiple geographies, getting the hire right materially reduces operational and compliance risk across the entire warehouse network.

What you will be expected to do

• Operations: Handle day-to-day operations in the warehouse, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows with a pro-active approach.
• Tracking KPI's: Track and report key warehouse KPIs (order accuracy, dispatch turnaround time, inventory accuracy, etc.
• Inventory Control: Track stock levels, prevent loss, and run routine audits.
• Inventory Audits: Conduct inventory audits on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis across all warehouses in India and, where required, in Africa.
• SOP's: Creating warehouse SOP's as per global standards and implementing it across all the warehouses.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse staff.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and security regulations.
• Facility Maintenance: Inspect tools, machinery, and the overall warehouse layout.
• Accurate, audit-ready inventory records across all warehouses; a trained and accountable warehouse team; zero major safety or compliance incidents; and warehouse facilities maintained to a standard that supports uninterrupted operations.
• Good working knowledge of SAP & google docs
• Good negotiation skills and understanding of financial impact.
• In-bound out-bound packaging & logistics control management

You might be a strong candidate if you have/are

• A bachelor's degree in any field, MBA preferred.
