Job summary

Buddha Cancer Centre is seeking an experienced Senior Laboratory Technician to manage lab operations, perform advanced tests, and ensure compliance with NABL quality and safety standards. You will supervise routine and specialized tests, maintain equipment, and ensure accurate reporting and meticulous record-keeping while guiding junior staff and coordinating with doctors as needed.

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Senior Laboratory Technician to manage laboratory operations, conduct advanced testing procedures, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and experience in handling laboratory equipment and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise routine and specialized laboratory tests


• Handle calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment


• Ensure accuracy and timely reporting of test results


• Maintain laboratory records, inventory, and documentation


• Follow NABL/quality and safety guidelines


• Train and guide junior laboratory staff and technicians


• Coordinate with doctors, pathologists, or quality teams when required


• Ensure proper sample collection, handling, and storage procedures

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and diagnostic procedures


• Experience with laboratory instruments and reporting software

Qualification

• DMLT / BMLT / M.Sc. MLT or relevant qualification


• Certification in laboratory quality standards is an added advantage

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in pathology, diagnostics, hospital, or research laboratories


• Ability to work in rotational shifts if required
