Job summary

Yashoda Hospitals is seeking a detail-oriented Radiology Typist to support its Radiology Department by accurately typing and preparing radiology reports.

The candidate will transcribe dictated reports, verify patient demographics, maintain confidentiality, and ensure timely delivery of diagnostic reports while coordinating with radiologists and HIS/RIS systems.

Ideal candidates have 1–6 years in radiology typing, familiarity with medical terminology, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel and HIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Any Graduate).
• Certification in Medical Transcription or Medical Typing preferred.
• 1–6 years of experience in a hospital radiology department preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and radiology procedures.
• Good typing speed and accuracy.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Hospital Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Type and format radiology reports including X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and other imaging reports.
• Transcribe radiologists' dictated findings accurately and promptly.
• Verify patient demographics and report details before final submission.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and diagnostic information.
• Coordinate with radiologists and department staff for report corrections and clarifications.
• Upload and update reports in the Hospital Information System (HIS) / Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Ensure reports are completed within the defined turnaround time.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of radiology reports.
• Review reports for spelling, grammar, and formatting accuracy.
• Assist in administrative and clerical activities within the radiology department.
