Job summary

CloudXtreme is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer in Hyderabad to drive automation and manual testing across web applications and services. You will design Playwright-based frameworks, execute API tests, and contribute to end-to-end validation in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

The role requires hands-on testing expertise, familiarity with Azure/GCP, and collaboration within Agile teams to ensure robust software releases and efficient debugging with AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Playwright-based automation frameworks for web applications.
• Strong expertise in manual, automation, and UI testing across enterprise apps.
• Hands-on API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured and understanding REST/microservices.
• Proven test planning, design of test cases, defect management, and end-to-end validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Playwright-based automation frameworks for functional and regression testing.
• Execute API testing and validate REST services across microservices architectures.
• Plan and design test cases, manage defects, and perform exploratory testing.
• Coordinate testing efforts within Agile teams and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Mandatory Skill: Playwright- Based automation framework experience ,Manual, automation and UI testing, Azure/GCP, API Testing

• 6-8 years of experience in software quality engineering with strong expertise in manual, automation, and UI testing for web and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Playwright-based automation frameworks for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar, with a solid understanding of REST services and microservices architectures.
• Proven expertise in test planning, test case design, defect management, exploratory testing, and end-to-end validation across complex enterprise applications.
• Experience leveraging AI agents/copilots for test case generation, automation development, debugging, root cause analysis (RCA), and overall testing efficiency.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Agile methodologies, test reporting, and cloud-hosted applications on Azure and/or GCP.
