Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong expertise in Manual Testing and Playwright Automation Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications through comprehensive test planning, manual validation, and automation framework development. The candidate should have experience working in Agile environments and collaborating closely with Product, Development, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
- Design, create, execute, and maintain manual test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web application testing.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and DevOps teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings.
- Execute automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines and ensure quality gates are met.
- Validate APIs and backend services using testing tools and techniques.
- Analyze test results, prepare test reports, and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Continuously improve automation coverage, testing processes, and quality standards.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validation activities when required.
Preferred Skills
- Strong experience in Manual Testing across web and enterprise applications.
- Expertise in writing and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or TestRail.
- Experience integrating automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Azure Repos, or other version control systems.
- Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and QA best practices.
- Experience in database testing and SQL query validation.
- Knowledge of performance, security, and accessibility testing concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
