Job summary

Yatharth Super Speciality Hospitals is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to collect blood and various specimens for IPD, OPD, ICU, and emergency patients. The role requires strict adherence to patient identification, labeling, and transport procedures to maintain sample integrity.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hospital or diagnostic lab experience, a Diploma/Certificate in Phlebotomy or DMLT, and a solid understanding of infection control and lab safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience in hospital or diagnostic lab.
• Diploma/DMLT or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of infection control and lab safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood and other specimen collection from IPD, OPD, ICU, emergency and home collection patients.
• Follow proper patient identification and sample collection procedures.
• Handle venipuncture, capillary sampling and difficult blood collections safely.
• Ensure correct labeling, handling, transportation and storage of samples.
• Maintain proper documentation and sample collection records.
• Follow infection control, biomedical waste management and laboratory safety protocols.
• Coordinate with laboratory staff regarding sample requirements, rejected samples and recollection.
• Ensure timely and accurate sample collection as per laboratory requirements.
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
• Provide professional and courteous service to patients.
