Job summary

WTP Cost Management in India seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor to drive cost control from pre-contract through post-contract stages. You will verify measurements, prepare budgets, valuate work, and manage commercial risks to keep projects within budget.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical, 5–7 years of experience, and proficiency in CostX and AutoCAD, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience 5 to 7 years in Quantity Surveyor/Cost Management (pre/post contract).
• Residential, commercial and data centre exposure preferred.
• Proficient in CostX and AutoCAD for cost estimation and drawings.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Verification of site measurements and bill certification.
• Knowledge on Change management and Claims management.
• Preparing Cost reports, bill trackers etc.
• Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
• Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Prepare and submit valuations and variations.
• Manage the costs on a construction project to ensure the construction project is completed within its projected budget.
• Prepare and submit cost reports and valuations.
• Measure and value the work done on site.
• Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
• Understand the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Preparing Budgets at different stages of design (Pre-concept, Concept, Schematic, Detailed design, Tender), Bill of Quantities, and Pricing
• Prepare, negotiate, and analyse costs for tenders and contracts.
• Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and time.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Preparation of detailed Rate analysis, getting quotes from vendors
• Good knowledge of MEP Packages (Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, HVAC)
• Good knowledge of Procurement & Contracts.

Preferred candidate profile

• Preferred candidates with experience in residential, commercial and data centre.
• Proficient in cost management software like CostX and Autocad.
• Strong analytical skills, negotiation and communication skills
